“Friends of read/OC”

Friends of READ/OC (FROC) is an organization committed to the support of the literacy service of the Orange County Public Library, primarily through resource development, public awareness and recognition services for volunteers and learners. Through these efforts, the Friends group strives to positively impact the quality of life for all involved - learners, tutors, other volunteers, and the Orange County community. The Friends of READ/OC was founded in July 1993 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit group dedicated to helping READ/OC reach as many learners in the community as possible. The Friends plan to build on the foundation started by the County and provide the literacy program with the support it needs to grow and flourish.
