Craig and Karen Ruhl are co-Presidents of the Board of Directors. They have been Friends of READ/OC for many years through their volunteer and corporate consulting efforts. Each brings years of corporate, community and church board member experience to FROC. Karen is Principle and President of Lighthouse Creative Group, Inc., a full service creative agency. Craig recently retired from 20 years as Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of an engineering firm in Long Beach, CA. Karen and Craig are also Owners/Directors of Christian Home Based Business Federation and work together full time. They believe in giving back to the community and enjoy doing so as a team. Both are avid readers, love to travel and enjoy photography.  contact

Ryan Ramos is the Vice-President of the Board of Directors. He currently works for the Orange County Health Care agency, engaged in public health research and planning. Ryan has a diverse educational background, having earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Cal State Fullerton and Master's Degree in Anthropology and Healthcare Administration. Ryan serves on the Community Advisory group for the city of Westminster. In addition, he has been on the FROC board for over two years and recently completed one year as a tutor for the READ/OC program.  contact

Richard Scott is the Treasurer of the Board of Directors. A California transplant, he was born and raised in Northeast Ohio, where he attended The Ohio State University, getting a B.S. in education. Before joining READ/OC and FROC he owned and operated a building supply business in Cleveland. After being involved with retail sales and management for over 35 years, Richard is now semi retired, and giving his time as a volunteer tutor with Read/OC and a member of FROC. Richard has received several awards for his volunteer efforts and now brings that commitment to FROC as our new Treasurer. Richard also serves on the Membership Committee. In addition to his volunteer work, his hobbies are reading, and riding and caring for his motorcycle.  contact

Katia Victoria is the current Secretary of the Board of Directors. Katia also works with the membership committee of FROC. Presently she works at Landau Law Group in Santa Ana as the Office Manager. She graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a B.A. in History. Her experience as an ESL Instructor and her commitment to education motivated her to become part of Friends of Read/OC. contact
