California Budget
Hello friends,
There are currently budget proposals being called for in the state of
California that would make serious cutbacks to libraries and to library
services such as the adult literacy program we all support, READ/OC.
You can make a difference by contacting the members of the Assembly and
Senate budget committees and telling them that you support these services
and that libraries and library services are very important to you and to our
communities.
Not all of the legislators publish their e-mail addresses, but for those
that do this form will send an e-mail to them.
Your name will automatically be added to the e-mail.
Below are links to e-mail the other legislators.
This is the
complete list of the legislators (pdf)
(web page) we suggest
contacting. It includes all of their contact information.
If you can, the best way to contact them is to hand write a letter to each
of them. The second best way is to call them.
Remind them that 4 out of every 5 adults in Orange County needs the services
that READ/OC provides. This impacts the adults needing our services, their
families, their work, their social life and the economy.
Thank you for taking the time to let your legislators know you care.
Sincerely,
Your FROC Board
